The tour begins at the Végállomás Restaurant, where participants board the Lillafüred State Forest Railway’s narrow-gauge train, which takes them through the Bükk forest to the programme’s location.
The journey itself is one of the region’s iconic experiences, offering a unique perspective on exploring the landscape.
Edible Forest: Gastro Stand-Up and Nature Education Through Expert Eyes
At the “Edible Forest” station, the programme continues under expert guidance, exploring the forest’s edible wild plants, fruits, and mushrooms, enriched with stories, fascinating facts, and forest stand-up comedy. The expert guidance is provided by Gyula Bózsó, a certified forest engineer, forest food scout, and edible wild plant specialist. By the end of the programme, participants will see the forest in a whole new light – and perhaps with a new taste as well.
The Flavours of the Bükk on a Plate: Four-Course Modern Gastronomic Experience
An optional gastronomic programme is also available, offering an even deeper experience. The kitchen of the Végállomás Restaurant presents a four-course menu inspired by the Bükk’s ingredients, prepared with a modern approach.
This arrangement allows the flavours discovered during the tour to be enjoyed in a restaurant setting with high gastronomic quality.
